JUNE 2010 WILTON FONDANT & GUM PASTE CLASS

Boy did I learn a TON! Even the simplest (and youd think common sense kind of things) techniques made a world of a difference. I had no clue that piping gel or gum paste existed. Or how to roll fondant on the mat, put the whole mat on the cake, THEN take mat off the fondant to lay it over cake. Wow...sounds so dumb, but I was loving learning all this. Clueless was an understatement.

HAPPY 40TH ANNIVERSARY!

SEPTEMBER 12 2010

I realized I dont like the edible pens.....hence the crooked writing......the fondant was still soft when I wrote (mistake #1) so it indented the fondant and I had to push hard to even get color out....Bummer

NOAHS THIRD BIRTHDAY CAKE FOR PARTY

AUGUST 28 2010

This one was fun and very challenging. Im no artist....I failed (yes, F) in art class.....so the aliens, or "pears" as Noah calls them dont look exactly like they should, but he LOVED this cake, and thats all that mattered to me :)

NOAHS THIRD BIRTHDAY CAKE

AUGUST 26 2010

This was his cake for our family party....knowing he had a real party scheduled for two days later, I made this one smaller than usual. Trent and Noah helped me :)

SHANNONS CAKE

SEPTEMBER 30 2008
My second attempt at a fondant cake for my best friend Shannon. I learned a TINY bit from my first cake (Noahs) so this was more time consuming than his, and fun to use girly colors.

NOAH'S FIRST BIRTHDAY CAKE

AUGUST 26 2008
I was curious about fondant....bought a few tools, read nothing and created this lumpy, bumpy cake. It was fun!
